Demolition has begun!

We are very pleased to report that the City of Vancouver has now awarded us the demolition permit for removal of the old buildings 1223 East Pender Street, Vancouver (the “Pender Property”). As such Matcon Canada (“Matcon”), our demolition team, commenced the demolition and clearing of the Pender Property last Wednesday and they are on-schedule to have the property cleared by February 23, 2018.

Development Application Status

Our assigned city planner has recently advised that we can expect that the Building Permit will be issued in the next few weeks. As soon as the Building Permit is issued the building contractor will be engaged and commencement of a construction contract will begin. We anticipate that it will be an approximate 10 month build process.

Building Contractor Selection

Our project managers at BTY Group have now short listed the building contractor and once all value engineering options (cost saving measures) are reviewed and accepted, BTY Group will commence preparation of the construction contract. Once the contract is secured, the awarded contractor will provide a construction start time and estimated build timeline.

BTY Group has been providing project management services for the Pender Property since the acquisition of the property and will continue to do so throughout the duration of the project.
